Panel interview is meeting more than one interviewer and interacting with them one at a time. Many of these interviewers might be your future boss in the job you are entering and planning to get in. Panel interviews were first used in health care industries and becoming more popular in corporate sectors nowadays. The Advantage of panel interviews is that they are more reliable and job-related since the panel members are accountable to each other. To the applicant panel interviews is less time-consuming, and can give you an opportunity to see how the staffs work together. The Disadvantage is that the more the panel the more pressure because the questions are not coming from only one interviewee, and interview question may be rapidly paced and ask. Not only one pair of eyes is looking at you but more than that so it may confuse someone answering the thrown question. After the interview, do not forget to send a separate thank you to the each panel member.
